Mississippi State is recruiting you, aren't they?
"Yeah, they are."

How long have they been recruiting you?
"It started last year in the spring when they came down. The (MSU) recruiting coach was Guy Holliday. At first, I don't think he really took me serious. So, during the season, I was doing alright and I was getting colleges coming at me left and right, but he still wasn't all that serious. I called Coach Holliday to see how things were going. We talked and then we got closer and closer. Then it stopped for a little while. I also had Tennessee, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech on my list with Tennessee being very high. I found out just recently that Woody McCorvey, the coach at Tennessee who was recruiting me, had gone to Mississippi State. I called Coach Holliday and he kicked it off and I have a visit to (MSU) on the 16th (of January."

You visited Pitt on November 28th. What other visits do you have scheduled other than MSU and Pitt?
"I have Boston College on the 9th (of January), Eastern Illinois the 23rd (of January). I'm also talking to Georgia Tech and UCLA but I don't have a visit set with them right now."

What schools would you say you are most interested in right now?
"To tell you the truth, Mississippi State."

Really?
"Yeah, Mississippi State has a new coach and I really think that is good for me because my first year will also be his first year. I got a Mississippi State book and I know the things I can do and I know I can fit in with the team."

Did Coach Holliday tell you much about MSU's new coach?
"He did. I heard on the radio that Mississippi State got a new coach who is black. When I first heard it, I really didn't pay that much attention to it. Then, Guy Holliday called the school and I talked to him and mentioned that MSU had gotten a new black coach. He said they did and his name was Croom."

I know you mentioned that Guy Holliday is recruiting you. What is your opinion of him?
"He is cool. The way he approached me and the way he sat down and talked to me about his business, he took it to another level. He and Boston College's coach told me things other recruiting coaches wouldn't tell me."

Have you visited Mississippi before?
"No, my dad and I talked about Mississippi State and recruiting. He told me my uncle, his brother, and aunt visit southern Mississippi and know it like the back of their hand. They visit on their vacation."
