What are your impressions of Mississippi State after taking your official visit?
"It was a really impressive campus. It is a people's campus to me. The whole staff is great. Everybody around the school really respects the football program. And they really value education at Mississippi State."
Was there anything about Mississippi State that surprised you?
"What surprised me a little bit was they still have die-hard fans even though they haven't been doing good the last couple of years. But it's a new era. Coach Croom is looking to change things around. People are going to rally around that."
Had Coach Croom come in for his in-home visit with you prior to your official visit?
"No, he is coming in this Wednesday."
So, that was your first time to meet him? What were your impressions of him?
"He is a really nice guy. He knows what he is doing and and where he wants to go and how he is going to get there. To be a head coach, you have to be very goal oriented and I think he is a very goal oriented person."
As you said earlier, with them not having done well the past few years and bringing in a new staff, what does that mean to you as a player?
"I believe I can come in and help them turn it around. Plus, with the new coaching staff, everybody is coming in with a clean slate. There is nothing like this coach doesn't like me or that coach doesn't like me."
Who was your player host while at Mississippi State?
What did you think about him?
"Darren was a pretty cool guy. I had met him on a previous occasion. I didn't spend as much time with him as I did with Brad (Horton)."
What position is Mississippi State recruiting you for?
"I am primarily a free safety. They are recruiting me as a free safety and a returner."
Are all the schools recruiting you as a free safety?
"No, some are recruiting me as a tailback but most are recruiting me as an athlete."
After your visit, where is Mississippi State on your list of schools?
"They are up in the running. By me going there, I am really considering Mississippi State really, really hard."
What schools have you visited and who do you still have left?
"I visited the University of North Carolina last weekend and will visit Auburn next weekend. There is a possibility that I will visit Arkansas. I visited the University of Virginia November 29th."
What in-home visits have you had from coaches?
"North Carolina, Virginia, Arkansas, BYU. Auburn met with my dad."
What schools have offered scholarships?
"I have 17 offers I think. North Carolina, Mississippi State, Auburn, Virginia, Louisville, Michigan State, Maryland..."
When do you plan on making your decision, after you take all of your visits?
