Was there any one thing that sold you on Mississippi State?
"When I went down there and talked to Coach Croom one on one, he seemed like a good guy. I also believe I fit in their defense really well."
When do you expect to report to Mississippi State, the summer sessions or the fall?
"Whenever I can. The first opportunity I get, I'm there."
Are you participating in any other sports other than football?
"I run track. I do long jump."
What do you think will be the biggest adjustment between high school and SEC ball?
"Probably the speed and size of the players."
Was there any one humorous or unusual thing that happened during your recruitment?
"I didn't know that (MSU offensive coordinator) Coach (Woody) McCorvey was the offensive coordinator at Alabama. My mom worked with his wife. I also didn't know Coach Croom was born (in Tuscaloosa)."
What are your hobbies?
"I like to play the X-Box."
Who has been the most influential person in your life? If more than one, you can mention them all.
"It has got to be my dad, James Brown, and my mom, Sandra Brown."
What schools did you visit and who did you turn down for visits?
"I turned down Southern Miss, which is a great program. I would have felt real good in their scheme, too, but they were too far away from home."
What colleges offered scholarships?
"Southern Miss, Mississippi State and a lot of DI-AA schools."
Has the internet been a source of information for you during your recruitment?
"Yes sir. I liked to get updates on the players. I believe it was a good source of information."
