Anthony Johnson is a 5'11 185lb WR/DB prospect out of Provine, MS. What schools did he grow up liking?
"I liked a couple of schools, like two or three of them. Mississippi State,
LSU, and Auburn was the main ones," Johnson said.
Who has been in contact with the speedster thus far?
"I got letters from Mississippi State, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Miami sent me one."
What will Johnson be looking for throughout the process in the schools he's
"I want some playing time. I want to go in and hard. I'm also looking at a
school with my major which is business management."
Anthony also participates in track.
"I do the high jump, the long jump, and the triple jump. My best event is
probably the high jump. My best one was like a 6'6."
Johnson said he enjoys both defensive back and wide receiver and has no
preference for a position at the next level. He is an exciting player with the
ball in his hands. He has tremendous acceleration, and he is the type of player
that can turn a short pass into a long touchdown. He excels on defense as well,
and could be an even better corner in college.
His team will attend the Mississippi State camp this summer.
Anthony Johnson is one of Class of 2005's Best
