"It means a lot. When you have that kind of great support, you don't have any choice but to do well. I really love the fan support. It gives you energy for any game."
Most teams that come into the Hump become intimidated partly due to the crowd. South Carolina sounded even more intimidating than the Hump. Did their crowd not intimidate you guys?
"It didn't really bother us because away crowds don't really do anything to us. They were loud but we kept our poise and played our game. We went out there and played Mississippi State basketball; played tough and played hard. And you can't go wrong when you play hard."
You had 18 rebounds during the game. When did you realize this was your night to rebound?
"I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. A lot of shots were coming off and I just jumped up and went and got them. That's our plan; to win the battle on the boards. Tonight, I was just one of the top people to go out and do that."
You've had two very tough, very emotional-filled games. How do you guys come back after something like that?
"You have to expect tough games, especially from Ole Miss since it was our second game to play them. This was our first game to play South Carolina and they are one of the best teams in the SEC. When you have games like that on the schedule, you have to play hard. You can't just lose your poise when the game is close or when you think you are down and out. You just have to keep it together and play together."
You are about to go to a place, Arkansas, where you have never won.
"Never having a victory isn't going to be the reason we will go up there and try and win. We are trying to win a championship this year. That is our focus."
