After recording 116 pancake blocks his junior season and having never given up a sack during this career, teams have taken notice of the younger McNeil.
"Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, LSU and West Virginia," said Josh, naming the schools that have sent him letters.
After attending summer football camps at Mississippi State and Ole Miss last year, Josh plans on going to even more camps this summer.
"This year, I plan on going to TheInsiders (MSL Combine) camp in two weeks (at New Orleans)," said Josh. "Also, the Nike camp, and probably the area schools, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss. And I'm going to try to make it to Florida State. I'm going to try to make them, although I don't know if I will be able to make all of them."
Although his brother is at Mississippi State, Josh is taking a wait and see attitude about what schools are going to be on his list of favorites.
"I really can't say," said Josh when asked what schools he is most interested in. "It's still a long way until signing day. I'm just waiting to see who all is interested in me and I'll go from there."
However, even though he's not sure who his top schools are, one school has made it known that he is definitely one of the top players on their list.
"Mississippi State has offered me (a scholarship)," said Josh. "I sent my film off to them a few weeks ago and I called Coach Croom and he told me that they were offering me."
With great academics (3.5/20), size (6-4, 270), strength (340 BP, 475 SQ) and proven ability on the field, don't be surprised to see this youngster ranked among the top offensive linemen in the entire south his senior season.
