Phil Cunningham talks about Xavier

Mississippi State assistant coach Phil Cunningham talked about Xavier, MSU's next NCAA Tournament opponent.

Why do you think Xavier is playing so much better than they were when your team played them the first time?
"They changed their lineup sort of like we did. They moved (Anthony) Myles to the five and went with a smaller, quicker lineup. Chalmers and Sato stepped their games up. They are playing with a lot of toughness and they have three seniors who are playing like they don't want to lose."

So, it's obvious you think they are going to be a very big test for your team.
"They are one of the hottest teams in the country right now, winning 14 of 15 games. They beat St. Joe by 20 and had them down by over 30 in the second half. And fatigue won't be a problem for them because they won 4 games in 4 days last weekend to win the Atlantic-10 Tournament title, the first team in Atlanta-10 history to do that. The final game was against Dayton at Dayton."

Will the first game against them this season help you at all?
"We know each other, so it won't give either team an advantage."
