STARKVILLE, Miss.— Tee off your Super Bulldog Weekend with the Sports Professionals Organization for Research Training and Study's fourth annual golf tournament held on Thursday April 15 at Highland Plantation in Starkville, Miss. The 18-hole scramble will raise funds for the regional Special Olympic spring games and the S.P.O.R.T.S. graduate program.
The golf tournament is an independently run event by the graduate students in the sport administration program within the department of education. Several community members, Mississippi State alumni and MSU athletes will participate in this year's event to assist the organization in completing its goal. We will have a surprise guest speaker before the shot gun start.
This activity is a fun filled way to start the activities for Super Bulldog Weekend. There are several awards and giveaways to enjoy. Hole-in-one, longest drive, closest to the pin and mulligan shootout competitions will occur throughout the event. Contest prizes and winning teams will be recognized at a reception following the tournament located in the reception tent. Food and beverages will be available during the reception. For more information on participating in the event contact Dr. Gregg Letter at 662-325-9281 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
