Class of 2005 Prospect - MS LB Jonathan Anderson

Jonathan Anderson (Ocean Springs HS, 6-foot-1, 225, 4.5) recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in the third game of last season, looks to have a super season this coming season.

Jonathan Anderson Profile:

While the ankle injury cut down on his playing time last season, college coaches, based on the numerous letters he has received, have still taken notice of this speedy linebacker from Mississippi's Gulf Coast.

"I have gotten letters from Columbia, USM, Yale, West Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Marshall University, Miami, Michigan, Stanford, Nebraska, Ole Miss and Arkansas," said Anderson.

As for summer camps, he has one camp as a definite and two out of state schools as possibilities.

"I am going to go to as many USM's camps as I can and I am going to try to go to Tennessee's and Miami's camps," said Anderson.

Anderson, whose mother graduated from USM, already has a favorite school with several others also on his early list.

"My top three are USM, Tennessee and Miami," said Anderson. "Probably LSU, also. But the main school that I am looking at is USM."

A solid student in the classroom, look for this low key youngster to shine this coming season after having to sit out most of his junior season due to his injury.
