Georgia DB Names a Leader

Keith Fitzhugh is one of the top cover corners in the south for the class of 2005, and he's beginning to compile quite a few offers.

"Right now I have offers from Notre Dame, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt," Keith Fitzhugh said.

One school has separated themselves to this point.

"My top 5 is Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Maryland, and Notre Dame. Mississippi State is my leader. They give me a lot of attention, and they have a real young team. I think I could play as a freshman."

Keith tripped to Starkville two weeks ago and had a great time.

"I love how the community supports the team. I like that it's not really in the city."

What is Fitzhugh looking for most in a school?

"I want a school with good academics. I want coaches that communicate with you and help you when you need help."

With Keith graduating in December, his recruitment will have to progress faster than his peers.

"I'm going to speed it up. I'm just trying to go ahead and take as many unofficials as I can. I want to take all 5 of my official visits before I make a decision, but I'll just have to get them done earlier."

Fitzhugh will be back in Starkville on April 17th to watch the Bulldogs spring football game. He will be in attendance at the MSL/TheInsiders combine in Atlanta, and he plans to camp at Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State this summer.
