Keith Andrews - 6-1, 175, Ouachita Christian H.S. (Monroe, LA). Selected to the PrepStar All-American team. Has a 59-yard field goal to his credit (longest in Louisiana high school history). Chose MSU over Michigan, Arkansas and Princeton (he is a 4.0 student).

Scott Shurden - 5-8, 175, Neshoba Central HS. Selected to the PrepStar All-American team. Ranked as one of the top 20 players in Mississippi (19th) by SuperPrep. MAC 4A first-team all-state kicker. An excellent student who is valedictorian of his class. Committed to MSU early.

Aries Nelson - 6-3, 195, 4.5, Cleveland (MS) East Side. A member of Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report All Southeast team. PrepStar Southeast All-Region team member. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 25 players in Mississippi list. Selected to The Clarion-Ledger's all-state second-team. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's pre-season Dandy Dozen list. Chose MSU over Mississippi and Grambling State.

Ken Topps - 6-0, 170, Shannon (MS) HS. A member of Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report All Southeast team. PrepStar Southeast All-Region team member. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 25 players in Mississippi list. Selected to The Clarion-Ledger's all-state first-team. MAC 4A second-team all-state selection on offense. Region 1-4A Co-Offensive MVP. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's pre-season Dandy Dozen list. Chose MSU over Memphis and Mississippi.

Justin Tyler - 6-4, 215, 4.71, Jones County (Gray, GA) HS. Rated as one of the top 142 players in Dixie (AL, GA, KY, MS, TN) by SuperPrep. PrepStar Southeast All-Region team member. Macon Telegraph All-Middle Georgia first-team quarterback in 2000 and 2001. Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) Class AAAA Honorable Mention All-State in 2000 and 2001. A AJC's top 50 players in Georgia selection and also a member of their Super 11 (excludes players in the Metro Atlanta area). Chosen by Team One as the number 5 combo baseball/football prospect in the nation. Prospects Plus lists him as the 142nd best baseball prospect in the nation in their latest issue. Macon Telegraph named him to their first-team All-Middle Georgia baseball team in 2000 and 2001. He was selected the Middle Georgia Baseball Player of the Year in 2001. Rated the number one senior quarterback at the Atlanta Nike Camp in 2001 (there were three such camps in the southeast). Chose MSU over Florida, South Carolina, Central Florida and Louisville.

Bryson Davis - 6-3, 260, 4.7, Plainview (TX) HS. According to his coach, he has excellent hands and is an excellent blocker. Plays basketball and is averaging over 21 points per game. Scored 40 points earlier in the season. Good student. Chose MSU over UTEP and others.

Willie Evans - 6-2, 260, Wayne County (MS) HS. A Clarion-Ledger first-team all-state selection and a MAC 5A first-team all-state selection at DL. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 25 players in Mississippi list. Also plays defensive line. Chose MSU over Southern Miss.

Jerious Norwood - 6-2, 190, 4.5, Brandon HS. A Parade All-American selection. A member of TheInsiders top 101 players (50th). A member of The Sporting News' post-season top 25 national players list. Selected to Max Emfinger's Top 125 players list. A member of PrepStar's Top 125 Dream Team. Nicholas Turner - 6-0, 185, 4.35, Washington (Atlanta, GA) HS. Considered one of the top running backs in the country by all recruiting experts. A consensus All-American selection, including a Parade all-American. Selected by TheInsiders.com, Max Emfinger, The Sporting News and Tom Lemming's Prep Report as one of the top 101 players in the country. Runs the 100 meters in 10.4 seconds. A nationwide recruit. Chose MSU over the nation.

Tee Milons - 5-9, 165, 4.4, Starkville HS. PrepStar Southeast All-Region team member. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 25 players in Mississippi list. Selected to The Clarion-Ledger's all-state first-team. MAC 5A all-state first-team selection. Selected the MVP of Region 1-5A.

Will Prosser (December Signee) - 6-4, 205, 4.55, Starkville (MS) Academy. Originally signed with Mississippi State in February 2001, but did not enroll in school full-time this past fall. . . Named the Male Athlete of the Year in North AAAA among all private schools following his prep career at Starkville (Miss.) Academy . . . Was the most valuable player in football, basketball and baseball among North AAAA schools and played in each of those three sports' Mississippi Private School Association all-star game . . . Named to the Columbus Commercial Dispatch all-area football team . . . Outstanding three-sport athlete at Starkville (Miss.) Academy for head football coach Steve Morgan . . . Starred in both basketball and baseball, as well as playing both ways in football . . . Started at quarterback during his senior season at Starkville Academy, leading his team to an 8-2 overall record . . . Completed 70-of-124 passes for 1,296 yards and 16 touchdowns . . . Also rushed for 550 yards and six more scores . . . Named first-team, all-conference and all-state in the Mississippi Private Schools Association . . . Richard Burch - 6-6, 306, Brandon (MS) HS. A member of PrepStar's Top 125 Dream Team. Selected to the SuperPrep and PrepStar All-American teams. James Cochran - 6-6, 274, 4.8, Central (Memphis, TN) HS. Plays center. Chosen All-Metro. Chose MSU over Memphis.

Monte Collins - 6-8, 360, Provine HS (Jackson, MS). PrepStar Southeast All-Region team member. Chosen as one of The Clarion-Ledger's post season top 25 players. Selected to The Clarion-Ledger's all-state second-team. SuperPrep lists him as the 12th best player in Mississippi. Chose MSU over Jackson State and Grambling State.

Manuel Dickson (Signee) - 6-4, 290, Greeneville, TN (Greeneville/Georgia Military College) ­ Rated as one of the top 100 junior college players in the country by Max Emfinger. Started at offensive guard for coach Bert Williams at Georgia Military College . . . Helped lead his junior college team to the National Junior College Athletic Association national championship this past season, defeating Butler (Kan.) Community College in the title game . . . Played four years of varsity football and started the final three seasons at Greeneville (Tenn.) High School, playing his senior season for head coach Mike Zeller . . . Started both ways for GTS, playing center on offense and tackle on defense . . . Helped his prep team to the state playoffs all four years, including a 12-1 mark and berth in the state quarterfinals as a junior . . . Earned honorable mention all-state and first-team all-region recognition at the center position during his senior campaign.

Kevin Dockery - 5-9, 178, 4.5, Hernando (MS) HS. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 40 players in Mississippi list. Selected to The Clarion-Ledger's all-state second-team. MAC 4A first-team all-state selection on offense. Region 1-4A Co-Offensive MVP. Recruited by MSU and Marshall.

David Heard - 6-1, 186, 4.47, Vicksburg (MS) HS. A member of The Clarion-Ledger's post-season top 40 players in Mississippi list. A Vicksburg Post All-County selection, David had 86 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries, a blocked punt and 2 defensive touchdowns to help lead the Gators to the North title game.
