Class of 2005 Prospect - MS RB Andrew Eddie

Andrew Eddie (Okolona HS, 5-foot-11, 200) is one of the top running backs in the state of Mississippi for the upcoming 2004 season. Andrew showed how tough he is by playing with a broken hand last season. Because of that toughness, as well as his great athletic ability, he has numerous SEC schools showing strong interest in him.

Andrew Eddie Profile:

You were just in the North State Championship track meet in Columbus this past weekend. How did you do?
"I came in third in the 110 hurdles. That qualified me for the State Championship Meet this weekend. I probably could have done better than that but I was practicing football also and was a little sore. I've been taking it easy this week. I still practice but I'm not participating in as much contact this week."

Switching over to recruiting, what schools are sending you letters?
"All the schools in the SEC."

What colleges have visited your practices?
"Florida, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Ole Miss."

Have you grown up a fan of any college or colleges?
"I've always liked Florida State ever since I was a kid. As I got older, I started to like Virginia Tech, too. I started liking them because of Michael Vick."

Have you thought about what schools you are going to camp at this summer?
"I've thought about a few. Ones that I would like to camp at are Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss."

Which schools have sent you invitations to come to their camps?
"Mississippi State, Florida, Ole Miss, Bama and Vanderbilt."
