Despite the switch in status, Tiffany will continue to be coached by the man who has turned her from promising school athlete into a serious contender to win the US Olympic Trials later this year: Mississippi State University Head Coach Al Schmidt, who saw potential in Tiffany when many other coaches doubted her credentials of becoming a world-class performer.
Stellar Athletics is also pleased to announce that in addition to Tiffany coming under the Stellar Group umbrella, she has also been rewarded with a multi-year, highly lucrative contract with one of the world's major athletics equipment manufacturers, adidas.
Tiffany was extremely pleased with the new arrangement, commenting: "I am delighted to sign with Stellar Athletics. They are a highly-professional, successful athlete representation agency and I am confident that they will take care of all my affairs off the track, allowing me to concentrate on pursuing my dream on the track. I know Stellar have high hopes for me and I am going to do my best not to disappoint them."
Stellar Athletics Managing Director and ex World Indoor 200m gold medalist John Regis was equally delighted with the deal, hailing it as a major step in cementing Stellar Athletics' position in the US.
"The signing of Tiffany McWilliams is a significant one for Stellar Athletics. Tiffany is rightly considered as the great hope of American middle-distance running and we will do all we can to form a strong team around her working alongside coach Al Schmidt. This agreement places us at the forefront of athlete representation in the US and is a major milestone on the path to our ultimate goal of becoming the leading athletics management agency in the world."
