LADY BULLDOGS FALL TO UAB, 76-56

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Deanna Jackson and Natasha Smith combined for 49 points,s Alabama-Birmingham (4-1) defeated Mississippi State, 76-56, Thursday night in Birmingham, Ala.

LaToya Thomas led Mississippi State (4-2) with 15 points. The two-time Kodak All-American, who broke Mississippi State's individual points record in her last outing, extended her streak of double-digit scoring games to 69. Jennifer Fambrough added 13 points, and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. She extended her streak of grabbing four or more boards to 17 games. Tan White scored 10 points to go along with three assists and three steals. The true freshman has reached double-digits in every game this season.

Twelve players saw the floor for Mississippi State, who saw UAB even up the series at 11-11. UAB has won four-straight games since a season-opening loss to Duke and has now won four-straight over MSU in Birmingham.

The Lady Bulldogs will complete the two-game road-swing next Tuesday (Dec. 4) at New Orleans. Game-time is set for 7 p.m.
