Jim Hill HS QB Tony Hobson

Tony Hobson (6-3, 195, 4.6), who plays for Jim Hill High School in Jackson, Mississippi, is one of the top senior quarterbacks in the state of Mississippi.

Tony Hobson Profile:

Hobson, a big quarterback with a great arm and speed, received a lot of attention from college coaches during the May evaluation period.

"LSU, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, Marshall, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Vanderbilt. Louisville and Samford called me during May," said the versatile Hobson.

Not one to just rely on coaches to call him, he is also about to become very active on the college football summer camp circuit.

"The only camp I've been to is the Jackson State 7 on 7 camp," said Hobson, "but this month I plan on going to Southern Miss, Alabama, Auburn and LSU. I'm also trying to find out if Ole Miss has a July camp because I would like to go to it if they do."

Although he has no offers at the moment, he has several schools that are showing a lot of interest in him even to the point of sending handwritten letters.

"I would say Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn, Alabama, Notre Dame, Memphis, Southern Miss and Mississippi State are the ones showing the most interest in me," said Hobson. "They are sending a lot of letters and some are sending handwritten letters, which makes me feel that they are very interested."

When asked who his favorite schools are, Hobson, an excellent student who will easily qualify, tried to be very inclusive with his list.

"I don't want to leave anyone out, but I would probably say LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Notre Dame, Jackson State, Southern Miss and a few more," said Hobson.

Look for additional updates in the very near future on this very articulate and very talented Mississippi signal caller.
