Class of 2005 Prospect - MS OL/DL Calvin Wilson

Calvin Wilson (Hattiesburg HS, 6-6.5, 320, 5.2), one of the top two offensive/defensive linemen in the state of Mississippi, is a player that is receiving recruiting attention from schools throughout the southeast. In this interview he names his top six.

Calvin Wilson Profile:

Calvin, who has the size and speed to play either the offensive line or the defensive line, is rated the 78th best player on TheInsiders Southeast Top-100 list. I'm sure many more honors will come his way during and after the season. He is that talented.

Based on the offers that he has, college coaches appear to have the same opinion. "I have offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, USM, West Virginia, Marshall and Tennessee," said Calvin, who attended college football camps at LSU, Ole Miss and Auburn this summer.

When asked which schools are his favorites, he quickly said, "LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee and USM."

While he didn't go into great detail about each, Calvin, a very good student who will easily qualify, did list a few reasons why he likes those six.

LSU - "LSU is the national champions and have a good tradition down there."

Ole Miss - "Ole Miss, I feel like they are coming on up and are a good team."

Mississippi State - "Mississippi State, because they have Coach Croom and he is a good coach."

USM - "USM because they are at home."

Tennessee - "Tennessee because they have a good tradition of sending offensive linemen to the league."

Auburn - "Auburn, because they have a great team and great tradition."

Look for additional updates throughout the season on this very talented lineman.
