[Premium article] Willie Henderson is a 6-7, 280-pound, consensus pre-season All-American lineman who plays both ways for Memphis Ridgeway High School.

What Willie likes about playing defensive end is being in the position to use his speed (4.85 in the forty) and quickness to rush the passer. According to Willie, "that is when the fun starts." He has been playing left tackle on the offensive side of the ball since the 9th grade. Willie also said he has even played tight end once against Portland, TN.

As for how the season has gone for Willie and his teammates, they were eliminated in the 3rd round of the playoffs by 12-0 Covington, which was averaging 43 points a game. Making it to the playoffs, after starting the season 0-2, seemed out of the question. Willie and his teammates turned it around and won five straight.

As for official visits, Willie was scheduled to go to Tennessee, but he had to reschedule. He said his final visit will be to Mississippi State or possibly Ole Miss. This Business Management aspirant said his scholarship offers are enough to fill drawers. I'm sure there are many schools that would like to see him empty those drawers of all the letters...but theirs!
