Brandon, who is being recruited mostly as a fullback but is willing to play either fullback or linebacker in college, is receiving interest from several colleges including Mississippi State, Florida, Louisville and Memphis.
One in particular is recruiting him heavily. "Mississippi State has offered me a verbal and written offer," said Brandon.
Because of that, they made his favorites list. "I like Mississippi State, Florida and Georgia," said Brandon. "Those are the main three that I like. I also like Louisville."
Brandon explained why those four schools are his favorites.
"I like Mississippi State because I like the running backs coach (Stan Drayton). I talked to him on the phone and he also came to our school. I also like them because I know somebody down there, (MSU redshirt freshman DL) Avery (Hannibal). He just graduated (from Troup County HS) and we are real close friends. I also like the coaching staff and I know they are trying to change things. I also want to be a part of a winning team that has good coaches and good people"
"I've always liked Florida. I don't know why, I just like them. I like the winning tradition. I also liked the campus down there when I went (to their camp). I liked the coaches, too, and the field and the facilities."
"They are my all-time favorite and it is close to home. I like their tradition, too."
"I don't know too much about them. I like them because they are showing interest in me."
With college football set to begin within the next week, Brandon, who college coaches like due to his combination of size, speed, academics and great attitude, is thinking about taking visits to at least a couple of schools this fall. "Florida sent me a request to visit, but I don't know when I'm going," Brandon said. "And I talked to Coach Drayton, the running backs coach at Mississippi, he said he was going to get me a schedule, so I can come down there and visit."
Look for additional updates throughout the season.
