Class of 2005 Prospect - TN RB Jacolby Bond

Jacolby Bond (Haywood (TN) HS, 5-11, 207, 4.5) is an outstanding running back from the state of Tennessee. Receiving strong recruiting interest from a number of colleges, Jacolby talked about the four schools that are atop his list, one of which is Mississippi State.

Jacolby Bond Profile:

Bond, who is quietly seeing his recruiting heat up, is a running back with good leg drive, a feature that makes it difficult for the first would be tackler to bring him down. And a feature that coaches definitely like.

Having attended football camps at Ole Miss, Memphis, Alabama and Arkansas State this past summer, he has received three scholarship offers. "Southern Miss, Mississippi State and Oklahoma State have offered," said Bond. He has also been told by other schools more offers may be forthcoming. "Some others have said they are going to offer but they haven't yet."

As for favorites, Bond has four at the top of his current list. "I like Alabama, Ole Miss, Michigan and Mississippi State.

"I like Alabama's facilities, their environment and they are a running team," said Bond. "Ole Miss is about the same as Alabama. I like (Mississippi State) mainly because they are showing a lot of interest in me."

You may be wondering how Michigan got into his recruiting picture. Bond, who has lived in the south his entire like, gave a surprising answer. "I like to play in cold weather. Because of that, they might be a school I would like to go to."
