MSU's Fall Ball Reaches Home Stretch

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Fall baseball practice at Mississippi State hits the midway point of its six-week run this weekend with a series of three public weekend scrimmages at Dudy Noble Field.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to play games Friday (4 p.m.), Saturday (2 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.) on Parents' Weekend at Dudy Noble Field.

The annual Maroon-White fall baseball game is set for a 4 p.m. first pitch Friday, Oct. 8, while the fall-ending Banana Split Series is scheduled Oct. 12-20, with specific game dates and times to be announced.

The MSU Dugout Club will host its annual fall gathering Oct. 8 following the Maroon-White Game, with club members joining the Diamond Dogs and the State coaching staff for a meet the team program and meal.

Plans are also moving forward for the 11th MSU Alumni Baseball Weekend October 16-17. Former players representing seven decades of Mississippi State baseball are expected to gather for an afternoon golf tournament and evening banquet on Saturday and suit up Sunday for the 1:30 p.m. alumni game.

There is no charge for admission to the scrimmages and all fall baseball practices at Dudy Noble Field are open to the public.
