STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's Baseball Bulldogs usher in a full weekend schedule of Homecoming 2004 athletics activities on campus Friday with the annual Maroon/White Fall Baseball Game at Dudy Noble Field. First pitch for the fall classic is set for 4:15 p.m. and there is no charge for admission.

Bulldog skipper Ron Polk and the MSU coaching staff have divided the 45-player fall baseball roster along experience lines. The Maroon squad is comprised mainly of first-year players while the White team features 21 returning veterans from last season's NCAA Atlanta Regional squad.

State returns six starting position players and 15 other lettermen from last season's 35-24 edition that notched MSU's eighth NCAA postseason appearance in the past nine years.

Members of MSU's Dugout Club will dine with the Diamond Dogs in the group's annual 'meet the team' fall dinner at Dudy Noble Field immediately following Friday's game.

The Bulldogs conclude their six-week fall practice Oct. 12-20 at Dudy Noble Field with the annual Banana Split Series.

Also on tap at Dudy Noble Field this fall is the 11th Mississippi State Alumni Baseball Weekend Oct. 16-17. Nearly 100 former MSU baseball players spanning seven decades of Bulldog Baseball are expected to gathering for a weekend of golf, a banquet and the popular alumni baseball game, set for a 1:30 p.m. first pitch Sunday, October 17.

Saturday, October 9

2 p.m. - MSU Volleyball vs. South Carolina (Newell-Grissom Bldg)

No charge for admission to MSU volleyball & baseball events
