Anthony Johnson Profile

Have any schools had in-home visits with you?
"Ole Miss is coming in Thursday. (MSU head) Coach Croom and (MSU offensive coordinator) Coach McCorvey are coming in the second week of December. That's it, so far."

What schools have now offered scholarships?
"Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Alabama....I can't even think of all of them."

Have you set up any official visits?
"I'm supposed to take a visit to Alabama on January 8th. The following weekend (January 15th) I take a visit to Mississippi State. We've been talking with Ole Miss and Southern Miss, but we haven't set anything up."

Have your feelings changed about any of the schools since we last talked?
"It's changed a little about LSU. I don't feel the same way toward them as I did at the beginning of the season. I'm not as interested in them."

Have any of the schools moved up in your mind?
"Not all of them, but Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss. Well, really the three are Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State."

You didn't mention that you have an offer or visit with Auburn.
"The coach came down to our school and said that I had one, but I haven't seen anything."

Does Auburn call you weekly?
"No sir."

What are your impressions of MSU's head coach, Coach Croom?
"I like him. I like the way he talks. He said when you come in everyone gets a fair chance. That will be a good opportunity for me to show what tI can do."

Do you want to play your first year?
"Yes sir."
