[Premium article] Kevin Dockery is a 5-9, 180-lb. DB/WR from Hernando, MS. He visited MSU this past weekend and verbally committed to the Bulldogs. Here is a short interview with the newest bulldog commitment:

I just read the news today that you committed to Mississippi State this weekend. Is that true?
"Yes it is."

Why did you decide to commit to the Bulldogs?
"Well, one thing was that I have always wanted to go down there and play, and it seems like they really care about their athletes. I like the players and the coaches."

Who was there visiting with you?
"Jerious Norwood, Darren Williams, Deljuan Robinson, Aries Nelson - they had about 19 visiting."

Who was your host?
"Gabe Wallace and McKinley Scott."

Mckinley Scott? Didn't he have surgery not long ago?
"Yea, it was his knee."

Was he walking OK?
"Yea, he was walking normal. I would say, if he's not 100%, he is close to it. He said he will be back next year."

Did he say he will be back in the spring?
"I don't know about that."

OK. Thanks for that information. A lot of people were wondering how he was doing.

Who is your position coach?
"Coach Melvin Smith."

So you are going to play defensive back?
"Yea, he said they were going to start me out at corner and then try to get me some playing time on offense later on."

You've always wanted to play some offense in college haven't you?
"Yea, I want to."

Are you taking anymore visits?
"I was just invited to go to Georgia. Dejuan and I might go out there, but I don't know yet."

I might be getting back to you later. Thanks for your time.
