"The visit went wonderful."
Did it? Tell me about it?
"They treated us very nice. They had beautiful facilities. I talked to some of the professors and met with some of the team, some of the players. It was wonderful."
What players did you hang out with this weekend?
"Norwood, Aries Nelson, my teammate Darren Williams, Corvelli Haynes. And then I met with Spivey, Haggan, Dontae Walker, just all the players. Then I met Terrell Grindle."
Of the whole weekend, what would you say was your favorite part?
"My favorite part was the eating part."
That seems to be the popular answer with you guys.
"(Laugh) Yea, they fed us good."
Did you get a chance to meet with the coaches?
"Yea, I met with all the coaches."
Did you meet with coach Tompkins, your position coach?
"Yea, I met with him and we went over some film."
Oh, you watched film? Why did you watch film?
"He is just basically showing you your position and some drills that they go through, and then how the drills relate to the game. First, he shows you some drills from practice and then he shows you some film of the game so you can see how the drills are put into play in the game. I like it because you learn something from it."
Did you get a chance to talk to coach Sherrill?
"Yea. We just talked about academics mainly. He talks to us about what he expects of us and what we can expect of him."
Last week some of the recruits said that they watched some highlights or film clips of each of them playing in HS. Did you guys do that?
"Yea, we watched a highlight film of all the recruits that were there."
What kind of talent was there this weekend?
"There was some talent there. It was SEC championship talent there."
You feel like the talent that was there this weekend could win the SEC championship?
"Yea, I really do."
Who impressed you the most from those video clips?
"Norwood. That was my first time to see him on film. He looked fast. And Tee Milons, he looked alright. I had already seen Darren's highlights. He has some good ones. And Ken Topps had a good move on there."
A throwing play or a running move? (referring to Topps)
"He was running and he had cut back on some defenders. Four defenders. They overpersued or he made them overpersue. I was wondering how he did that."
Would you say that was your highlight of the weekend?
"Yea, it probably was. We ate good then too and got to see some of the other players. Oh yea, and that other guy from Georgia, he was a running back - Nick Turner. He had some moves on him. And rumor was, that was his ninth grade year."
You are listed as being a Mississippi State commitment. Is that still true?
"Yea, it's still true. I plan on signing with State."
OK. I enjoyed talking with you and appreciate your time.
