Recruiting Update: ATH Derek Pegues

South Panola High School's Derek Pegues is not only one of the top players in Mississippi, but the entire nation. He, along with Collins High School offensive lineman Josh McNeil and Wayne County High School defensive lineman Jerrell Powe, were the only three Mississippi players that were selected to play in the very prestigious U.S. Army High School All-American Bowl game. Derek talked about his favorites and who he will be officially visiting.<P>

Which schools have come in for either in-school or in-home visits since we last talked?
"All of them."

You mentioned in a recent interview with that you are going to officially visit LSU on January 21st and Ole Miss on January 28th and that you visited Tennessee December 10th. Do you have any other visits planned?
"I've visiting Mississippi State January 7th."

Why did you decide to visit those schools?
"They are really the only ones that came after me. I want to pick and choose out of those teams."

You will be playing in the U.S. Army High School All-American Bowl game on the 16th of January. Do you plan on going to it immediately after your Mississippi State visit?

Who is the coach at Mississippi State that is recruiting you?
"Brick Haley."
