MSU Commitment Ty Evans Update

MSU QB commitment Ty Evans update.

Ty Evans Profile

How did you and your team do this season?

"We were put out in the first round of the playoffs," said Evans, his region's Offensive Most Valuable Player. "We finished up 7 and 4, counting the playoffs. I had 1,552 yards passing and 19 touchdowns. I think we averaged about 15 to 16 passes a game."

When did Mississippi State head coach Sylvester Croom come in for his in-home visit?

"Coach Croom came in last Monday (December 6th)," said the two-time honorable mention All-State performer. "(MSU recruiting) Coach (Shane) Beamer and (MSU OC/QB) Coach McCorvey came in the week before that."

What did you guys and Coach Croom talk about?

"My parents had a lot of questions about me going down there, living and things like that," said Evans, who will take one official visit January 14th to Mississippi State. "They wanted to know how they would be able to interact with me on game weekends. He also told us some of his NFL stories. We asked him about his family and we also asked him about some of the players and their personalities."

We'll have another Ty Evans update after his official visit.
