RICK STANSBURY QUOTES:

About winning on the road:
"It is difficult to go on the road against quality basketball teams and win."

About Alabama:
"Alabama is a very good basketball team."

About second half turnovers:
"We had about three trips in a row in the second half where it was a five or six point game and we turned the basketball over. If we had just taken care of the ball, I thought we had Alabama on their heels at times. We helped give them confidence when we turned the ball over against their press."

About Erwin Dudley:
"Dudley is one of the best post guys in the league. There is no question about that. He has been sensational. He can score and he is a great rebounder."

About Rod Grizzard:
"We couldn't guard Grizzard one on one."

About free throws:
"That was part of the difference. We made 16 of 18 free throws, but they shot twice as many as they did. We had 27 fouls to their 18. We put them in a double bonus very early in the second half. When you are fighting from behind and continue to send the other team to the line, it is tough to fight back."

About the effort of his team:
"It wasn't about effort tonight. Our team fought tonight. It was about not been able to eliminate turnovers here or there. As I said from the start, we have to survive this early season schedule. We have been on the road against three quality SEC basketball teams."
