White-out The Hump Saturday

There is actually a dress code for this weekend's men's basketball game. The MSU Athletic Department and the Student Association are asking students to support the men's basketball team by wearing white to the game against Arkansas this Saturday.

Seth Robbins, director of special projects for the SA, said the white-out makes for a better basketball environment.

"Wearing white is encouraged at all basketball games, but now that we are getting into SEC play, it's important that we have a good home team environment," Robbins said.

At last year's home loss against Kentucky, most occupants of the student section were decked out in their white t-shirts cheering on the Bulldogs. Members of the athletic department have sent out e-mails to remind students to wear white to each game in hopes that it will strengthen crowd support.

Assistant Athletic Director Mike Ritchey also said that there are plenty of student tickets left for Saturday's game.

"We want to remind everyone that they can still get student tickets to the games," Ritchie said. "For those students who did not get season tickets last semester, they can still get them at the ticket office before Saturday to help decrease congestion before the game."
