Johnny Carpenter Profile

Why the Bulldogs over Southern Miss, Ole Miss, UAB and West Virginia?

"I liked Coach Croom because he played at the University of Alabama under Coach Paul 'Bear' Bryant," said Carpenter. "He also coached under him eleven years. I think he is going to turn State around. And I felt like family when I went up there. The coaches welcomed me in and made me feel comfortable. I loved the campus. I loved the people up there. I'm excited about State and hope I can help make a difference."
