Q and A with LaBrandon Glover

What colleges are mailing you letters?
"Florida State, Mississippi State, Auburn, Clemson, Michigan State, UCF and Alabama. I can't remember all of them. On the 19th (of February), I'm going to Alabama for Junior Day."

Did you attend any college football camps last summer?
"I went to Mississippi State and Ole Miss."

What schools have offered you a scholarship?
    "Mississippi State."

What was your first thought when you heard that you had received your first scholarship offer? "I couldn't believe it. At the beginning of last year, I was playing JV and (my coach) moved me up. I wasn't really thinking I would go to college, then. Then, he started working with me over the summer. And we have a great linebacker coach and defensive line coach who also helped me out, too."

    Who are your favorite schools?
"Ole Miss, Florida State..I like Florida, but they haven't sent anything to me...Alabama, Mississippi State and probably Clemson."

    Why those five schools?
"(MSU head) Coach (Sylvester) Croom is a phenomenal speaker. Ole Miss has that new coach coming in from USC and I think they are going to turn things around. Clemson was alright and got to a bowl. And just from seeing their coach, I feel he is a great coach. They are getting some good recruits, too. I talked to Keith Brown, who is up there at Alabama, and he told me how Mike Shula is a great coach who looks out for his players and will help you anyway you need help. He makes sure you do your work, on and off the field. And he tries to help you be a better man. Clarence Ward, a safety, he told me that it is nice up there. I like Florida State because, when you go there, you are going to have to be competitive. They are always known for winning. Bobby Bowden seems like a great coach. I have been loving him since I was a little kid and started paying attention to football."
