MSU-UNO Game to Resume Wednesday at 2:45 p.m.

Mississippi State and the University of New Orleans were tied 1 to 1 in the top of the fourth inning before rain and thunderstorms put a halt to the game. The game will resume at 2:45 Wednesday afternoon. The second game of the day will begin 25 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

New Orleans jumped on top in the first inning when Brandon Bowser, who walked with one out, crossed the plate on a ground out to second base.

MSU knotted up the score when Joseph Hunter doubled to left field and crossed the plate on a two-out single by Brad Jones.

MSU lefty Brooks Dunn, in his three innings of work, allowed two hits, two walks and struck out five.

New Orleans starting pitcher Michael Jones allowed the Bulldogs three hits, walked two and struck out two. Coming into the game, Jones had only walked two in 26 innings.
