Domonic Hopson Recruiting Update

Domonic Hopson (Pascagoula HS, 6-3.5, 227, 4.6) is one of the top linebackers in the state of Mississippi. We caught up with him Sunday night to see how recruiting is going.

Q and A with Domonic Hopson

Domonic, a starter since the 10th grade, has piled up the stats the past two season, recording 229 tackles and 7 interceptions. Despite missing 3 games due to an injury, 115 of those tackles were during his junior season, a season in which he earned 1st Team All-Region.

Considered one of the top players in the state of Mississippi, he is making his plans to attend college Junior Days, spring games and spring and summer camps. He also named his top 5 colleges.

Have you attended any college Junior Days this spring?
"I attended LSU's and planned on going to Ole Miss' but I wasn't able to go to it. I want to go to Mississippi State's if possible."

Do you plan on attending any spring games?
"It depends on whether my mom can get off work. If she can, I want to attend Southern Miss', Ole Miss' and Mississippi State's. I wanted to go to Vanderbilt's but I had to miss it. I've been invited to all of them."

Have you lined up any camps?
"I'm going to LSU's. I'm thinking about Mississippi State's and Ole Miss'. I also want to go to Tenneessee's. I'm going to the Scout.com camp at Mississippi State."

Who would you say are your favorite schools at the moment?
"I like Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt."
