"We are real excited to have Will. He is a big receiver. He is going to be different than say a Ray Ray or the other two guys that we signed because of his size. Will is a tall, hard-working guy. He is at least 6-3.5 to 6-4. I'm not sure what he weighs. He does everything you ask him to do. He has been a pleasure to work with."
The next guy up is Tee Milons from Starkville High School. What do you like about him?
"Really, everything. We like his speed, his hands and he seemed to have the knack to make the big play when they needed it. When the pressure was on, he was the guy they would go to. And he wanted the ball. He caught the ball over the middle in traffic. He is not very big, but he is really tough."
Did you see film of him as a junior and as a senior? If so, how did he improve from year to year?
"Yes, while watching other guys on his team last year. Sometimes, when you are recruiting a senior, you notice the younger guys on the team when watching film of the senior. I didn't study him that much, but I really think the main thing about him is he matured and developed from his junior year."
Brandon Wright is the last wide receiver signee. Talk a little about him.
"He is a lot like Tee. They are about the same size and both of them are really quick and fast. They will be difficult to hem up. Brandon visited Tennessee and Florida was recruiting him a little bit. I don't know why they wouldn't have wanted him. I'm glad that whatever happen, happened, because I am very happy that we got him.
"Both Brandon and Tee increase our team speed. Now, more than ever, that is very important. Eight to ten years ago people played a lot more zone defense, so you used really big guys to go into the zone, catch the ball and get hit. Now, almost everybody is playing press man coverage and man coverage, so you need the really fast guys."
Thank you, Coach Stump.
