Justin Woodall Talks Recruiting

Lafayette County High School defensive back Justin Woodall (6-1, 202) was one of many Mississippi players who attended Sunday's Scout.com All-American Invitational combine at Mississippi State. Justin talked about his recruitment with Gene's Page.

According to Woodall, three schools seem to have taken the lead as far as expressing their interest in him.

"Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State are showing me the most interest," said Woodall, a MAC Class 4A 1st Team All-State selection as a junior.

In fact, one of those three teams appear to be close to offering a scholarship.

"Mississippi State is supposed to offer," said Woodall. "They talked to my coach and said they are going to offer."

With spring practice underway for his high school team, two of those three colleges have already visited the Lafayette County High School campus to do their spring evaluation of Woodall.

"Mississippi State and Ole Miss have been to my school," said Woodall.

Those same two school as well as a couple of others have moved atop of his early list of favorites.

"Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama are my favorites," said Woodall.

During the Scout.com combine, Woodall had good testing results, recording a 32.5" vertical leap, a 4.75 forty-yard dash, a 9'2" standing broad jump, a 4.43 shuttle and a 7.59 3-cone run.
