Johnny Carpenter Profile

What is your height, weight and position?
"I am 6-2.5, 277 and I play center."

What did you try to accomplish during the first part of the summer?
"I've been working out running, staying out in the sun a lot. That has allowed me to get used to the heat."

What do you want to try to accomplish during the second summer session of workouts?
"I hope to learn a lot from the center, Chris McNeil. He's a great athlete. I just hope I can learn as much as possible this summer, then come in and help out this fall."

The coaches have said all along that they expect all the freshmen offensive linemen to come in and play immediately. What are your expectations for the football season?
"They expect a lot out of us. We just have to work hard and get in there and show people what we can do. Then, we'll see what happens."

If you could make your fantasy come true, what would you personally hope to achieve this coming football season?
"Start."
