The 4x100-meter relay team of Glenn McFadden, Marquis Davis, Dion Crabbe, and Pierre Browne improved their qualifying time for the NCAAs with a Sam Bailey Track record 39.29 Sunday in Tuscaloosa, Ala. That time also ranks the team third on MSU's all-time 4x100m relay list.
Those men also had an impressive run in the 4x200m relay, taking first with a time of 1:22.89. Other top finishers include Matt Denton's fifth place showing in the high jump (6-8 ¾) and J.D. Erickson's eighth-place finish in the shot put (50-9 ¼).
The women had their best showing in distance relays, coming in second in the distance medley race (12:02.81) and third in the 4x1500-meter relay (19:16.78).
Mississippi State hosts its next action on Saturday, March 30, 2002, in the Bulldog Invitational at the W.O. Spencer Stadium/Carl Maddox Track.
