*Redshirt freshmen also getting their first college action were: RB Brandon Thornton, RB Demarcus Johnson, LB Fred Akines, S De'Mon Glanton, OG Anthony Strauder, LB Anthony Littlejohn, OT Roland Terry, OG Dio Herrera, TE Jeremy Jones, and WR Jamayel Smith.

*Technically that count could include QB Mike Henig and WR Keon Humphries, who both played in one game in 2004 as true freshmen but afterwards received retroactive redshirts. Also, 2004 squadmen S Marcus Evans, CB Leron Yarbrough, and WR Lance Long got on the field for the first time.

*And junior college transfers FB Casey Rogers (a walk-on) and signee DT Antonio Johnson got to play their first time out also. So not counting Henig and Humphries, 24 Bulldogs made their college debuts in the 2005 season-opener.
