Mississippi State practice update for the 26th of September.
Injury report from practice: DT Corey Clark was wearing a red cross jersey. He said he would be fine, though. TE Jason Husband continues to wear a yellow jersey. WR Will Prosser, as he usually does, took Monday off to help rehab his broken foot. OG Johnny Wadley also took the day off.
First-team offense: LT Brian Anderson, LG Anthony Strauder, C Chris McNeil, RG Anthony Dunning (playing in place of Wadley), RT Avery House, QB Omarr Conner, FB Bryson Davis, TB Jerious Norwood, TE Eric Butler, WRs Tee Milons, Keon Humphries, Joey Sanders. Second-team offense: LT Michael Gates, LG Johnny Carpenter, C Royce Blackledge, RG Anthony Dunning, RT Calvin Wilson, QB Michael Henig, FB Casey Rogers, TB Jonathan Lowe, TE Dezmond Sherrod and Jeremy Jones, WRs Aubrey Bell, Lance Long.

Two true freshmen received playing time with the second unit, MLB Jimmy Miller and DE Quinton Wesley. Redshirt freshman LB Carlton Rice also played with the second unit at times. True freshmen CBs Pegues and Fitzhugh spelled the first-team CBs at times.
As MSU always does at the end of Monday's practice, the backups and scout teammers had a 15 minute scrimmage. True freshman WR Aubrey Bell made a great catch of a Michael Henig pass despite being heavily covered by the DB. True freshman DE Quinton Wesley received praise from DL coach Brick Haley for his play during the scrimmage. True freshman OL Johnny Carpenter, who is the backup LG, played center during the scrimmage.
