As of now, six schools are calling him on a consistent basis.
"Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama call me, Memphis has started calling me, Tennessee and USM call," said Milton. "I think that's about it."
He's also received several scholarship offers.
"Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee have offered," said the 6-3, 240-pounder. "And Southern Miss has offered. I got an offer from Tennessee at the end of my junior year."
When asked if he has a top 5, Milton said, "my top five, which is not in any kind of order, is Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama."
Milton talked about each school and why they made his top 5 list.
"I like (Mississippi State head) Coach (Sylvester) Croom," he said. "I like that he's building his program the right way. He's like a father figure. When he calls me on the phone, we don't even talk about football. I just like what he stands for. He stands for doing the right things. And that's something that I can't do anything but respect because it's hard to do the right thing in this world and be treated fairly. And that's why I respect that he's trying to do the right things. Some of my former players are up there, too.
"Ole Miss is the school that I've seen the most. And I feel like they are recruiting me real hard. I've had a chance to see them more than the others because I went to a camp of theirs in the 10th grade and I went to their Junior Day. I've gotten a chance to talk to their coaches in the weight room. The first day that coaches could call, they called me at 6 a.m. I was still in the bed. I like the way (Ole Miss head) Coach (Ed) Orgeron is very excited.
"Southern Miss is close to home. I've seen them more than anybody because they are right around the corner. They have a good defense. I respect (Southern Miss head) Coach (Jeff) Bower.
"Tennessee is an SEC school and probably one of the best teams in the nation. They are pretty tough. (Tennessee head) Coach (Phil) Fulmer called me and I talked to some of their other coaches. They are recruiting me hard and they want me to come up there.
"I got a chance to visit Alabama when I went to the Florida game. I had never seen anything like that before. Their fans are very supportive, very supportive. I got a chance to talk to their coaches. I got the chance to see their weight room. I also like the tradition of Alabama. I saw a lot of tradition when I went there."
Two of the schools have set up official visits and a couple of other schools are talking visits.
"I have an official visit with Ole Miss on December the 2nd and 3rd," said Milton. "I think I have a visit with Mississippi State on January 20th. Tennessee wants me to come up there, but I haven't set up anything. The Memphis coach has asked me if I am serious about coming up there. I told him I'm thinking about it."
As Milton finalizes more official visits, we at Scout.com will be there to post the latest information.
