Mississippi State practice update for the 24th of October.
The team practiced for about an hour in shoulder pads and sweat pants.
Junior offensive tackle James Redmond, who has been rehabbing from an injury, ran second team during yesterday's practice. True freshman Michael Gates (LT), Johnny Wadley (LG), Dio Herrera (C) and Anthony Dunning (RG) were the other members of the second unit.
True freshman OT Calvin Wilson alternated with Avery House at the first-team right tackle spot. The rest of the first unit offensive line remained the same - LT Brian Anderson, LG Anthony Strauder, C Chris McNeil and RG Royce Blackledge.
Jerious Norwood was wearing a red cross jersey yesterday due to a bruised knee. When asked his status for the Kentucky game, head trainer Paul Mock said, "we're planning on him playing."
Backup quarterback redshirt freshman Michael Hening, who didn't play during the Houston game, received a significant number of snaps with the first unit during the late Monday afternoon practice.
