"Yes, I'm 6-1, 185. I bench 220 and run a high 4.4 to low 4.5."
What positions do you play?
"Running back and receiver."
What do you feel are your strengths at those positions?
"As a running back, I feel I have above average vision running in the open field. I can line up in the slot and take advantage of linebacker coverage."
Now what things do you feel you have to work on as a player?
"Probably my strength."
How did you do last year as far as personal statistics are concerned?
"I had 1,200 (all-purpose) yards for 12 touchdowns." [Included among those yards were 428 rushing and 442 receiving. Not sure what he had as far as kickoff and punting yards.-Gene]
Do you have any personal or team goals fr next year?
"Yes, to try and help a young team to grow up and make it back to the state championship game. I think I want to try and break Tee's (touchdown) record." [former Starkville High and Mississippi State signee Tee Milons.-Charles].
[Laugh] Have you told Tee that, and what did he have to say?
"[Laugh] Yeah, I told him a couple of times. He's just talking noise. I think he wants to put a little money on the line - [laugh] - but it's all in love."
Have you earned any honors during your high school career?
"Yes sir, I earned 2nd team all-region and all-district last year and honorable mention in both categories as a sophomore."
What football camps did you attend last summer?
"Southern Miss and Mississippi State."
Is there anything that stood out to you about either of the camps?
"Well I like Mississippi State because it's the hometown school. Southern Miss, it was alright but I don't know about the atmosphere down there."
Do I understand that to mean that you don't like the atmosphere down there?
Do you plan to attend any camps this summer?
"Yes sir, Auburn, LSU, the camp in Georgia, and maybe I'll go to Ole Miss. I know that I'm going to Mississippi State for sure though, but I don't know about Ole Miss."
Did you attend any college football games last year?
"Well really all of State's home games and that's it."
Did you attend any Junior Days this spring?
"Yes, I went to Mississippi State."
Can you tell me your impressions of the school itself, the players and the coaching staff overall?
"I think coach Sherrill is a pretty nice guy. I have a cousin who plays at State, Jason Clark, and he gives me the inside scoop on everything. I also got to meet Benard Belk, Korey Banks - he's a character - Demetric Wright, and Kamau Jackson. Also, we worked out this summer with Demetric Wright and Richard Ball."
Did you attend any spring football games?
Did your parents and brothers and sisters attend any college?
"My mother attended East Mississippi (Community College) and my brother, Jeffery, attended MTSU."
Have you grown up a fan of any particular school, and what do like about that school?
"well I've liked Florida some, but I'm really a Mississippi State fan because I just always liked the way they play, just nasty."
What schools are sending you letters?
"Mississippi State, Auburn, LSU, Alabama, South Carolina; most of the schools in the SEC."
What schools are you most interested in right now?
"I don't even know."
