It's pretty obvious when you talk to Victor that the recruiting calls, especially from recruiting folks like me, are starting to get old, but, like a trooper, he answered every question that I asked.
First question, who's calling on a consistent basis?
"Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Memphis, Arkansas, Iowa State and Tennesse," said Victor. "I think that's it."
As for offers, he now has seven compared to the six he had the last time we talked.
"Ole Miss, Mississippi, LSU, Southern Miss, Louisville, Memphis and Arkansas have offered," he said. Memphis is his newest offer.
When asked if he has a top five, he said, "I don't have a top five, I like all of them."
Although he's not ready to mention a top 5, he has started setting up official visits.
"I've set up (official visits with) LSU on the 9th of December, Tennessee on the 13th of January and Mississippi State on the 20th of January," said the 6-4, 250-pounder. "Florida's also talking to me about a visit. I'm going there. I just need to set up a date and I have to switch some dates. I don't know where I will go for the fifth one."
In somewhat of a surprise to me, when I asked him if his teammates were going to take an official visit with him to Mississippi State, he said, "they are all visiting on the same date as I am." Since the Summers brothers haven't really mentioned MSU lately, I asked him if he was referring to all of his teammates and he said the same thing again.
My Markeith Summers interview will have more on this. Markeith is one of the teammates he is referring to.
As for why those schools have made his official visit list, Victor is very consistent with his answer.
"What I like about all of them is I can come in and play early," he said.
