"I committed on the 30th (of November)," said Brandon, who has also received recruiting calls from Auburn, UAB and Memphis. "(MSU assistant) Coach (Woody) McCorvey said they were very excited about my commitment and the new class that they have coming in. Coach McCorvey's been in touch with my dad, who spoke very highly of him."

Brandon explained his reasons for committing to MSU.

"I liked their new facilities. Plus, I really like their coaches," he said. "They are really nice. And I like the chance to play early. I played wide receiver in high school, but they are recruiting me as a tight end."

And he's got the frame to play tight end on the collegiate level.

"I'm 6-3 and I weigh 220 since I started playing basketball," said the athletic Brandon. "I weighed 228 when I played football."

Brandon gets his athleticism naturally.

"My dad is Keith Henderson. He went to Georgia and also used to play professional football," said Brandon. "He played running back for the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco."

And like his dad, Brandon will now have his opportunity to play in the SEC, although for another set of Bulldogs.
