So far, three schools have had in-home visits with Markeith, with a fourth on the horizon.
"Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Florida have come in for a visit," said Markeith. "Tennessee is supposed to be coming in Tuesday."
He's set up official visits with three schools and is talking to at least one other about a visit.
"I'm visiting Mississippi State on January 27th, Florida on the 20th (of January) and Alabama on the 13th (of January)," he noted. "I'm also trying to set up something with LSU."
As for as his favorites are concerned, he has six on his list.
"I like Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State and Tennessee," Markeith said.
He explained what he likes about each school.
Florida - "They throw to their receivers a lot."
LSU - "They don't have too many wideouts and they throw the ball quite a bit."
Ole Miss - "They are losing a lot of wideouts and they throw the ball, too."
Alabama - "They throw the ball a lot and I like their offense."
Mississippi State - "They play a lot of young guys, so I know I could go in there and play. And they don't have too many wideouts."
Tennessee - "They are the same way, they don't have too many wideouts."
After hearing what he said about his fav six, it appears playing time is the biggest factor in his recruitment. What are his thoughts about that?
"I just don't want to be redshirted and sit on the bench," said Markeith.
Check back in a couple of weeks for the latest recruiting news on this very highly thought of wide receiver.
