The Bulldogs were ranked as high as fifth earlier in the season before dropping in the rankings to 13th last week. The SEC now claims five of the top six spots in the poll, with Tennessee holding on to the top spot in the nation. Nine of the nation's top 25 comes from the Southeastern Conference.
"I think all along we knew that we would have these points at the SEC Championships," said head coach Al Schmidt. "Now we just have to do it once again at the NCAAs."
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
