"My weight is 210 pounds and I am listed at 6-2.5, but I might be 6-3. My forty speed is 4.52."
Do you know what your maximum bench and squat are?
"My bench is 280 and my squat is 500."
Do you play any position other than linebacker?
"I am playing slot, possibly a little tailback and tight end."
What do you consider your strengths as a football player?
"Defending the run and (pass) coverage."
What do you want to improve on as a football player?
[Laugh] Speed? Man, you already run a 4.52 and you are 6-3, 210.
"[Laugh] I kind of want to be like (CHS teammate) Bruce (Edwards)."
Have you ever raced him?
"[Laugh] I've raced him but he sort of blew me out."
Do you know what your personal stats were last season?
"I had 170 tackles, 8 sacks and 2 interceptions."
What kind of honors have you earned?
"I earned (District) Defensive Player of the Year, All-District and (MAC 5A, first-team) All-State."
What are your personal goals for next year?
"I want to (sign) with a top college."
What is your team goal?
"To win a state championship."
Did you attend any college football camps last summer?
"I didn't go to any last summer."
Do you plan on attending any this summer?
"Yes sir, I am supposed to be going to the Ole Miss camp. We are talking about going to LSU and maybe State."
Did you attend any college football games last season?
"Yes, State's. I went to the BYU, South Carolina and Kentucky games."
Have you grown up a fan of any particular college?
"You know, I never thought I would be playing football. I didn't grow up a fan of any school. When I was young, I didn't even like it. I played my 7th grade year but was afraid of breaking bones. My 9th grade year, I came back out. I started at outside linebacker (on the 9th grade team) my 9th grade. Every since then, it has been my key sport. I love the game now."
What schools are sending you letters?
"Arkansas, Memphis, Florida, State, Princeton, Clemson, Yale, Ole Miss...and a lot of others."
What schools are you most interested in at this time?
"Arkansas, they have been writing me handwritten letters. The whole coaching staff wrote me handwritten letters. I was impressed with that. I get a handwritten letter from them about every other day. It makes me feel good knowing that they are interested. They are a good college. I also like Florida. They wrote me a letter the other day and offered me a scholarship. They hand wrote it. Those are the main two right now."
