J.D., who has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Baylor, Southern Miss, TCU, Marshall and Louisiana Tech. officially visited West Virginia this past weekend and came away impressed.
"It went real good. The players were nice, the coaches were real nice," said the junior college All-American. "The school was real nice. It was kind of bigger than I was expecting it to be."
Where do they now stand among his favorites?
"They are in my top two right now," said J.D. "The other one in the top two is Mississippi State. They are about dead even."
He has two official visits left, although one school is out and one school is in.
"I visit Mississippi State (January 20th) and Texas A&M (the 27th)," said the 6-4, 300-pounder, who replaced Southern Miss with Texas A&M.
He explained why he decided to add Texas A&M to his visit list.
"I want to go down there and see what they have because they have a pretty nice program," said J.D.
We'll check back with J.D. next Sunday to find out about his official visit to MSU.
