Let's get to the bottom line: Who is Reggie's leader?

"Mississippi State and Marshall are my leaders, but Mississippi State is in the lead right now," said Reggie who has 20+ scholarship offers. "I've been interested in Mississippi State since the beginning of this (recruiting) process, but I just started hearing about them a month ago."

Does he have any idea why he wasn't hearing much from them prior to a month ago?

"Someone in the press stated, in one of my interviews, that Odom wasn't likely to leave Florida," he explained. "So, a lot of out-of-state schools stopped recruiting me because they thought that was what I said. But I didn't say it."

Because so many out-of-state schools quit calling him, about a month ago Reggie thought it was time to take the bull by the horns and find out what was going on.

"Once I realized from a couple of schools talking to me that they didn't know if they were going to offer me due to what that article said. I thought maybe that's the reason they were't calling me," said the 6-2, 285-pounder. "I had my coach call (MSU) about a month ago to find out what their status was because I was interested in them. He called me back in about an hour and said they were offering me. It didn't take any time or anything and I thought this might be the place to be."

Now, with Mississippi State back in his picture, he couldn't be happier because there are a lot of things he likes about them.

"I like Mississippi State because the location is kind of close, although not too close," said Reggie. "I like the coaching staff. I like the opportunity to play early. And it's in the SEC. That basically overules it all."

And he'll get a chance to experience MSU first-hand this weekend.

"I'm visiting Mississippi State this weekend and Marshall the following weekend," he said.

Does he plan on committing this weekend if he likes what he sees and hears?

"I will probably wait," he said.

We'll contact Reggie after his official visit to MSU this weekend for the latest update.
