What did Brent think about his visit to State?
"It was pretty good. I liked the campus and everything," said the 6-2, 195-pounder. "It was all good. All the facilities were pretty nice. I loved the (football) field. The dorms are pretty nice. They have some new dorms for the freshmen."
His player host was a former teammate of his.
"Mike Gates talked to me about coming down there because they need some receivers, some playmakers to make plays for them," said Brent.
Also an excellent baseball player, Brent had a chance to visit with the MSU baseball coaches.
"We talked to the baseball coaches," he said. "They told me that they have a senior shortstop and centerfielder who will be leaving after this year, so it will be wide open next year if I came down there."
Now that he's had a chance to visit MSU, where do they stand?
"They are probably about the same right now," said Brent, who claims offers from Mississippi State, Florida State, Georgia, Clemson, Illinois and Tulane. "It's Georgia, Florida State, then Mississippi State. I take my visit next weekend to Florida State."
Scout.com will have another update on Brent Brewer after his official visit to Florida State.
