J.D. Hamilton's visit to State went well.

"It went real nice. It was a little bit better than I expected," said J.D.

What were some things he liked about the visit?

"I like the location. I like the town a lot," he said. "I like the players. The coaches are real nice. All the facilities were real nice."

He was hosted by a former teammate of his, redshirt freshman offensive lineman Anthony Strauder.

"He told me how it goes down up there, the workouts and things like that," said J.D.

The MSU coach recruiting J.D., offensive line coach J.B. Grimes laid it on the line with him.

"He told me he expects me to come in and start," said J.D.

Where does MSU figure in his recruitment now that he has officially visited them?

"They are in my top two," he said. "The other one is West Virginia. I visit Texas A&M this weekend."

He expects to make a decision in about a week.

"I will make my decision when I come back from Texas A&M," said J.D. "It will probably be Monday."
